PWP issues list of community information events by National Grid

National Grid has set up 27 community events to “inform” the public about their proposals for gigantic pylons across Cumbria and the Lake District. It has issued the schedule in a project news handout posted to some of the local community.

There does not seem to be a widely publicised list of events. There does not seem to be an easily accessible list of these on their website. A cynical person may say that they do not want lots of people to go. The fewer that go the more it looks like the local population is silent and agrees with the proposal. We do not believe that is the case so we are publishing the schedule.

If you can help us in any of these place for a hour or two we would welcome it. Maybe posting leaflets through letterboxes, getting posters put up, meeting and greeting people outside the event or even helping us answer questions with an alternate view on things. Then just email us at Please help David against Goliath 😉
