Packed anti-pylon meeting in Broughton
The meeting was a huge success: the Victory Hall was full to bursting, as over 200 people across the age range (20s – 80s) packed in – standing room only!
Many of those attending, including councillors and individual residents, were very well informed of the issues so there was a good level of questioning and general discussion. There was very much a mood of united opposition to National Grid’s plans and determination to fight.
John Woodcock MP did an excellent job and pledged to do whatever he could to support his constituents in reversing the pylon proposals. In closing the meeting, he came up with a suggested five-point plan.
